Pristine Gemstone Jewelry Introduction
Welcome to Pristine Gemstone Jewelry. Sapphires, sapphire engagement rings, and other colored gemstones and jewelry are our specialty.
We are Rogerio Graca and Andrea Van Wilgenburg, a husband and wife team of gemstone suppliers and jewelers. We operate our online, home-based business from just outside of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada offering our gemstones and jewelry via our website: pristinegemstonejewelry.com and our two Etsy shops; PristineGemstones and PristineJewelry (note: we are the same Pristine Gemstone Jewelry that formerly operated from Victoria, BC.)
Rogerio is a professional gemcutter (lapidary) and wholesaler of gemstones of over 24 years. Rogerio developed his gem cutting skills and talents in his homeland of Brazil in a small town called Teofilo Otoni; in the interior of Minas Gerais. This area of Brazil is well-known for its rich gemstone deposits.
Rogerio uses a "Precision Cut" machine that allows him to cut his gemstones at their correct refractive index. Not all colored gemstones that you see on the market are cut properly (only about 5% are precision cut). A gemstone must be cut at its correct refractive index to reach its potential in brilliance.
Andrea, Rogerio's wife and business partner, works as our design consultant. She coordinates the creation of her designs along with our highly skilled and experienced team. Each of our team members has been honing their skill for more than 20 years; from Rogerio our gem cutter and goldsmith, to our CAD and casting technicians, to our stone setters. Our team's goal is to create beautiful, as well as lasting quality, fine gemstone jewelry.
Some of our pieces have been featured with Huff Post Weddings: http://huff.to/1IOa9r3

The accent diamonds in our mounts are purchased in the US and are conflict free determined by the Kimberly Process. Most of the gold in our settings comes from recycled and refined material.
When customers choose one of our pieces to symbolize a memorable life event, we truly feel honored. We take that responsibility seriously treating our customers in the way we would wish to be treated.
